Team Update 22/09/25

Ventnor Vikings is the new U11’s mixed team formed from players from last years newly formed U10’s team. The team last year was formed due to a group of local boys who loved football and just wanted the opportunity to be play, be part of a team and develop their football skills. But there was no team available, so a team was formed by dedicated parents, supported and welcomed by the amazing team at Ventnor Football Club, giving the boys a chance to come together and play football. However, it was a tough year for the boys as the team found their feet, being newly formed they came in as the under dogs and they fought the whole season taking on many challenges and defeats. But, the whole time the boys kept their heads held high, their team spirit and dedication remained right to the end.

As we now enter the new season as the Vikings U11’s the older boys from the previous team have been joined by some new, dedicated players also looking to find their place and home within a team. The boys have come back fighting, even more dedicated and determined to show how they have grown and developed over this last year. Supported and led by a new team of volunteer coaches dedicated to seeing the boys achieve their potential individually, as well as a team and with the incredible backing of a new sponsor the Vikings boys would like to send a massive THANK YOU to STUBBINGS BROS LTD for sponsoring their stand out, amazing kit. They are so proud to wear it and feel confident and proud when they step out on the pitch. The sponsorship gave the opportunity for the kit to be custom designed by one of the Vikings boys making it unique to the team.

The Vikings have already played their first match of the season coming out fighting, holding their own and finishing the match with a draw.

The boys are excited for the season ahead, but they know they wouldn’t be where they are today if it wasn’t for the incredible support and home they have found within Ventnor Football Club. They are honored to be part of and play for such an incredible club that has only grown in strength due to the incredible dedication of the coaches across all teams and the Chairman and Secretary and rest of the team giving up their time and being so committed to seeing all the players welcomed and grow in their love and passion for football. We are excited for the season ahead.
